SFC Academic Society's 14th Research Presentation Contest
Seeking Presentation Candidates
Application Guidelines for General Research Presentations
We are looking for research papers that add to "SFC ingenuity" for general research category of the 14th Research Presentation Contest. This is an ideal opportunity for you to organize and present details on your research outcomes or other academic pursuits; therefore, do not miss the chance to participate.
During the contest, the Program Committee will evaluate each presentation and select the most outstanding presentation to receive excellence awards. We look forward to receiving a large number of applications (all students are eligible to apply; therefore, faculty members are requested to contact the students in their seminar groups, and ensure that they are all made aware of this opportunity).
- Application deadline: September 23, 2016 (4 pm)
Applications should be sent via E-mail to the SFC Academic Society administrators (email@example.com), with "Application to Present General Research" in the E-mail subject. The application itself should include the following:
* Title of presentation
* Name, faculty, and E-mail address of the presenter
* Presentation summary (about 200 characters)
* Key words
- Notification of selection: October 3, 2016 (provisional date)
The Program Committee will screen applications and notify applicants of the results by E-mail.
- Deadline for presentation summary: October 26, 2016 (4 pm) (provisional date)
Applicants should provide a summary of the paper that they are presenting, comprising A4x4 pages (successful applicants will receive the relevant writing guidelines, etc., when notified of the acceptance of their research paper).
The summary will be posted as abstracts on the Internet prior to the contest and distributed in printed and bound forms during the event.
The Program Committee will evaluate the presentations and confer excellence awards for the most outstanding presentation. Further, the committee will produce a combined ranking of presentations in the general research and graduation project categories, and the top presentations will be awarded. The awards ceremony will be held during the event.
Points to Note
- Presentation papers must be previously unpublished.
- Presentation of a research paper during the contest does not qualify as one of the requirements toward a doctorate.
Note that participants are also encouraged to use this oral presentation manuscript as the basis for submission to the SFC Academic Society's Keio SFC Journal
. The publishing of your paper or acceptance for publication following peer review is recognized as a qualification for obtaining a doctorate.
